Start with a name

Tap New piece, add a short name and save. Photos, clay, firing notes and glaze layers are optional. You can add details later.

Track your next studio visit

Choose one of the six stages and write a next-session note. Search your shelf by name, clay or glaze. Use Select to change the stage of several pieces or export a PDF.

Keep glaze recipes in order

Add one layer per glaze. Choose Inside, Outside or Both, set coats, and use Move up or Move down to preserve application order. Copy layers from an existing piece when repeating a recipe.

Five free pieces

Only successfully saving a new piece uses a free place. Deleting does not return it. Existing pieces always remain editable and exportable. One optional purchase unlocks unlimited new pieces. There is no subscription or trial timer.

Back up before changing devices

In Your journal, choose Export complete backup and save the JSON file in Files or another trusted location. On another device, choose Restore from backup, review it, and merge. A PDF is useful to read or print but cannot be restored as a journal. Restores keep the newer version of matching pieces.

Restore a purchase

Use the same Apple Account that purchased Unlimited Pieces and tap Restore Purchases in Your journal. A network connection may be needed. Your photos and notes are restored separately from a complete backup. For refunds, use reportaproblem.apple.com.

Photo or storage trouble

If camera access is denied, allow it in iPhone Settings or choose an existing photo. Photos can be JPEG, PNG, WebP or HEIC, up to 20 MB each and 30 per piece. If saving fails, free device storage and try again; keep the editor open to preserve your draft. Backups are limited to 140 MB.
